  • Internal third parties such as other companies in the Just Kampers Group based in the UK who may undertake leadership reporting;
  • The owner of the camping vehicle that is hiring it out through our website or the customer who is renting the camping vehicle through our website (as applicable) to arrange a booking;
  • We will share your driving licence and personal data with the third-party provider that we use to verify your identity;
  • Your driving licence and other data will be shared with the companies that provide the motor insurance and/or the breakdown cover that you may obtain through us whilst renting the camping vehicle. Please note that they may carry out identity verification which includes a credit check;
  • Stripe, Inc who act as a processor by providing us with payment gateway and processing services;
  • Klaviyo, Inc who act as a processor by providing us with e-commerce marketing services including email marketing;
  • Sharetribe Oy acting as a processor by providing our website platform;
  • Professional advisers including lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers who may provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services;
  • HM Revenue & Customs, regulators and other authorities such as the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency who require reporting of activities in certain circumstances;
  • Third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy policy; or
  • To law enforcement or other authorities in relation to any investigations or the prevention of crime.

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions (unless otherwise permitted by law).

We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK, unless:

  • we are required to do so to comply with a legal obligation. For example, if you commit a driving violation or offence using the camping vehicle in Europe; or
  • if you are renting a camping vehicle outside of the UK, we may be required to transfer your data to the country you intend travel and drive in. For example, the owner of the camping vehicle may reside in France and require your details to arrange for collection of the rental. Please contact the owner for information as to how they will use your personal data.

We do not transfer your personal data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA).

  1. How we secure your data

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. Although we have put these measures in place, the security of the internet is not guaranteed, therefore any information provided by you through our website is at risk of interception beyond our control.

We limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instruction and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
